Problem of the week

On Friday of each week we will post a new maths challenge.
You may submit your solution by the following Thursday.
Each problem contains two different levels of difficulty. You will be awarded from 2 to 12 points for a full answer.
Each series contains 12 problems before the stage winner is determined.
Your score will be published here.

In each series we will give away 3 books as prices. The prices will be drawn by lot among the best ten participants of the series. The books are kindly sponsored by Buchdienst Rattei of Chemnitz.

Suggestions for problems are welcome.

Deadline is 2th. of February 2023.

"Look. I drew a square with a side length of 8 cm. Then I added the points E, F, G and H (see drawing for location). The result was that I was able to split the original square into two congruent hexagons," Bernd said. Mike pondered for a moment and then agreed with him.
What is the perimeter of the red hexagon, 4 blue points (Just measuring does not count as a solution).
How must the position of the points E and H be chosen, F and G should remain, so that the congruence of the partial areas remains, but the perimeter of the red hexagon becomes exactly 32 cm, i.e. half as large as that of the square ABCD? 4 red points

Deadline for solution is the 2th. February 2023.
