Aufgabe 1

397. Wertungsaufgabe
Logikaufgabe

Deadline for solution is the 20th. june 2013.

logic puzzle
“Have you heard about the film project of the boys of form 9a?”, Mike asked. Bernd looked a little puzzled which made Mike check the project outline again.
In their short detective story Tom, Valentin, Heinrich and Gunnar each play one of the roles (drug squad officer, homicide detective, whistleblower and forensic expert) in different locations (Chemnitz, Erlenbach, Bamberg and Waldshut). Their names are Adler, Baer, Drossel and Eber. Who plays which role and where are the six film located. - 6 blue points
The forensic expert is played by Gunnar, whose character's name is not Drossel and whose film is not set in Waldshut.
The whistleblower is based im Bamberg.
Heinrich doesn't play the drug squad officer.
Drossel is active in Erlenbach. Tom on the other hand is neither acting in Erlenbach nor in Waldshut.
The homicide detective is named Adler.
Eber is not based in Chemnitz.

Now to some details of the whistle blower episode:
In the home of the suspect there are three boxes on a table (A,B,C,D and E). On Sunday all of them were empty. However, this was about to change (Monday, Tuesday, … , Friday). On each of these days one of the boxes got filled with a certain amount of money (40, 60, 75, 100 and 150 Euros). When were the boxes filled with what amount of money? - 6 red points
The 100 Euros were put into a box one day after the 150 Euros.
The 75 Euros were put into a box two days after box C was filled.
Box E contained more than box D and more than Wednesday's money.
Both box D and the box filled on Wednesday contained more than the box filled on Friday.
Box A got filled one day before box D even though there was more money in D than in A.
Lösung/solution:
Tom spielt einen Informanten namens Eber in Bamberg
Valentin ist Drogenfahnder Drossel in Erlenbach
Heinrich ist Kommissar Adler in Waldshut
Gunnar Gerichtsmediziner Bär in Chemnitz
rot:
Montag 150 in E
Dienstag 100 in C
Mittwoch 60 in A
Donnerstag 75 in D
Freitag 40 in B

Aufgabe 2.

398. Wertungsaufgabe

„Hallo Maria, was machst du da?“, fragte Bernd seine Schwester.

Deadline for solution is the 20th. june 2013.

“Hi Maria, what are you doing”, Bernd asked his sister.
“I've got a quick problem in between.”
“Show me, please.”
In a triangle there are three angles of different size. The medium one is twice as big as the smallest one. The biggest is three times as big as the smallest. What are the sizes of the different angles? - 2 blue points
How big are the sides of the triangle, if the shortest is 4.5 cm? (3 red points if your solution is found by constructing, if calculated there'll be 5 red points. If you do both you'll get whatever is more.)
Lösung/solution:
blau.

Deadline for solution is the 4th. july 2013.
399
“Hi Lisa, who are you wrapping this cube shaped box for?”, Maria asked.
“It's a present for Mike. It's his birthday the day after tomorrow. Now I've only got to cut the ribbon to length.”
How long does the ribbon have to be at least if the cube is 20cm and if Lisa ties the ribbon diagonally over the corners. - 4 blue points
Inside the box are two identical ten-sided pyramids. Their bases are magnetic so they can be combined to form one solid (similar to an Octahedron). How many space diagonals does the combined solid have (ignore the magnetic bases). - 4 red points.

Deadline for solution is the 29th. august 2013.

400
400 “Hi Mike, that's an interesting picture you've got in front of you”, Bernd said.
“You should know this. It's Kepler's model of the solar system from his book Cosmographicum.”
Here is what the picture shows: The orbit of Mecury is fixed on a sphere. This sphere is the the inscribed sphere of an octahedron. The circumscribed sphere of the octahedron holds the orbit of Venus in place. It is also the inscribed sphere of an icosahedron of which the circumscribed sphere is where planet Earth orbits. It is also the inscribed sphere of a dodecahedron. Around the dodecahedron you find a sphere that holds the orbit of Mars and also functions as the inscribed sphere of a tetrahedron. The circumscribed sphere of this solid is where Jupiter orbits and also the inscribed sphere of a cube. Finally the circumscribed sphere of this cube keeps Saturn's orbit in place.
This model is to be made for the school of Bernd, mike, Lisa and Maria. All the solids will have a thickness of 2 mm. The material will be transparent plastic with a density of 1.4 g/cm³. What would be the weight of the cube if it was 120 cm big. - 4 blue points
What measurements would the other parts of the model have and how heavy would the model be all in all? - 30 red points are possible because it's the 400th problem.

Aufgabe 5

401. Wertungsaufgabe
„Hallo Lisa, was guckst du so verzweifelt auf dein Koordinatensystem?“, fragte Mike.

Deadline for solution is the 5th. september 2013.

401
“Hi Lisa, why are you looking at your coordinate system so desperately?”, Mike asked.
“I'm not desperate, I'm simply thinking. I entered a function y=2x – 2 and a point P(4;1). Now I'm calculating the distance between point P and the graph.”
What is the distance between the line and the P? - 3 blue points
6 red points for a general algorithm to determine the distance of any straight line (graph of y=mx+n) and any point P in a coordinate system.

Aufgabe 6

402. Wertungsaufgabe
Siderische Rotation 27,322 Tage, Masse 7,349 · 1022kg)

Termin der Abgabe 12.09.2013. Deadline for solution is the 12th. september 2013.

“Hi Maria, the problem befor the last one made me dig into the topic of geostationary satellites.” Bernd said. “What do you mean by geostationary satellite?” “It's a satellite whose orbit around the earth takes exactly 24 hours and thus seems to be fixed above a certain position of the planet.” Its orbit is circular and the satellite is 35 786 km above the Earth's surface. >How fast is such a geostationary satellite? - 4 blue points Would it be possible to install a satellite like this to support a base on the moon, a lunarstationary satellite as it were? How big – if at all possible – would the radius of the orbit have to be? Is it possibe? - 6 red points (Consider the moon to be an ideal sphere. Diametre: 3476km, Sideric rotation 27.322 days, mass: 7.349 · 10^22 kg)

Aufgabe 7

403. Wertungsaufgabe
3 rote Punkte

 Bild groß. picture enlarge

Termin der Abgabe 19.09.2013. Deadline for solution is the 19th. september 2013.

“How did you manage to put the picture into the square?”, Bernd asked.

“It's not a problem if you use GeoGebra, I can show you if we have time. Right now I'm trying to calculate the area of the image section”, Mike said.

The square ABCD's edges are 10 cm. The reddish triangle are all rectangular. The shorter of the catheti all have the same length: 3 cm. What area is the image section? - 3 blue points

How long would these catheti have to be in order to get an image section of 50 cm²? - 3 red points

Aufgabe 8

404. Wertungsaufgabe

Deadline for solution is the 26th. september2013.

“It's not exactly hard to construct an equilateral triangle”, Bernd said. “I know that and I'm already finished with it”, Mike answered. “I'm now thinking of how to insert a second equilateral triangle within the first one so that all sides are the same distance from the bigger one.”
Let the big triangle have sides a = 10,0 cm. Find a smaller triangle whose sides are 2 cm from the big triangle. Solve the problem by constructing it. Describe your construction – 4 blue points
For the calculation of the areas of both triangles (no measured lenghts) you'll get 5 red points.

Deadline for solution is the 3th. october 2013.

"Look what a strange numerical sequence I've found", Lisa said to Mike. Mike was quite astonished. "Can you really get the sequence 1; 2; 3; 4; 29; 126; 367 with a single formula?", ha asked doubtfully.
"I've read that somewhere," Lisa said, "but I don't remember exactly how it worked." What formula roduces the sequenve above and what would the following number be? (4 red points)
For 4 blue points find the following number of this sequence: 3; 14; 39; 84; 155; 258 (explain)

Deadline for solution is the 10th. october 2013.

406
Look, I found a magic circle", Maria said to Bernd after she'd rushed into his room exitedly.
"My dear sister", he said in a soothing manner, "why don't you show me?”
"Look, here it is".
In a coordinate system Maria had marked the following points: A (0; 1), B (0; 0), C (6; 0) and D (6; 5). The centre of the magic circle was exactly between A and D, which were also part of the circle. Which coordinates does the magic circle have and what is it's radius? - 3 blue points
“What exactly is magical in your circle?”
The graph of the function y=x² – 6x + 5 passes right through point D. Point D has thus the coordinates (-p; q). Find the coordinates of the other points of intersection of the circle and the function. (graphically – 3 red points or by way of calculation – 6 red points).
There will always be points of intersection of circle and parabola if point D has the coordinates (-p; q) and p²/4 is greater or equal zero.

Die Lösung ist im --> Mathelexikon <-- nachvollziehbar.

Aufgabe 11

407. Wertungsaufgabe
„Was grübelst du denn?“, fragte Lisa.

Deadline for solution is the 17th. october 2013.

407
“What are you pondering?”, Lisa asked.
Mike sat in front of a square and marked a point right inside it. “Look, if I mark a point somewhere inside the square and then measure the distances to each side and then add them up I'll always get the same sum.”
What's the sum of the four distances in a 10 cm square? - 2 blue point. Why is this true for any point inside the square? - +2 blue points.
I Mike marked a point inside a regular hexagon and added the six distances would the sum be constant as well? Answer the question for a regular hexagon with an edge length of a. - 6 red points for a full explanation.

Drehpotenz steht hier für a^b und eben b^a. (a verschieden b) 6 rote Punkte

Termin der Abgabe 07.11.2013. Deadline for solution is the 7th. november 2013.

408
“You've got a lot of rotating powers on your paper”, Bernd said. Rotating powers means  a^b and b^a.
“Yes, that's right. I'm looking for a rotating power that is equal, so a^b = b^a. There's supposed to be one.”
Find such a rotating power. - 2 blue points
Show that there is only one such rotating power >1 (a ≠b ) - 6 red points
